Richard Greene is a partner at Epstein Cole with a focus on family law issues and the defence of professional malpractice claims against lawyers.
With extensive experience in professional liability issues, he has defended malpractice claims against lawyers in family law, real estate and mortgages, wills and estates, tax and commercial law. He has appeared in courts at all levels in Ontario in trial and appellate work and has represented clients in numerous mediations and arbitrations.
Richard is a former instructor in risk management for the Bar Admission Course and has participated in continuing legal education programs on risk management and loss prevention. He has lectured to claims examiners at the Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company on issues of negligence in the practice of family law, and has been involved in committee work for the Law Society of Upper Canada concerning issues of standards of practice and professional liability.
Richard is presently the managing partner of Epstein Cole.
